Embarc Launches New Web Site for Acceleron Pharma

01/08/2007 Acceleron Pharma is developing biotherapeutics for the treatment of musculoskeletal, metabolic and cancer-related diseases.

Acceleron was founded to take advantage of its unique insight on the Growth and Differentiation Factor (GDF) protein family. Acceleron utilizes a novel approach to modulate the activity of various GDFs that control the growth of bone, muscle, fat and the vasculature. The company is establishing itself as the premier company in this field with its lead program, ACE-011, in clinical development for the treatment of bone loss.

About the Project

Acceleron Pharma's website did not convey the authority, stature, and credibility that the science and business of their organization required. As a result of recent activity with their first drug in clinical trials, traffic to the Acceleron website was growing, and interest in the company become more diverse than just the scientific community. With their first drug in clinical trials Acceleron now had something to actively market, and wanted to step up its efforts to spread the word about their company and their science. Additionally, Acceleron wanted to use their website as a sound recruiting tool. Because of all these requirements, Acceleron Pharma sought Embarc's advice and expertise to take their website from a simple description of the company, to the next level.
